God...Kyle ... those darn whispers telling you lies! God has done a great work in those kids using you, His vessel. You come home feeling blessed, having seen God at work and that snake doesn't like it so the little worm is using the "parents and piercing" to bring you down. Lies. God HAS called you and God WILL use you. I am sure that if Eve hadn't of eaten the forbidden fruit first, I would have run over her to get at it. We all have challenges and we all fail at some point. I am thankful for the saving, loving, forgiving Christ that takes you and I, (who may or may not be worthless pieces of crap)and, if we are willing, uses us, and the talents He has so generously given us, to minister to His family ... "down the street and around the world" He HAS blessed you, Kyle ... you are a Kings kid. Bask the overwhelming warmth of His love and don't listen to the whispers that are lies.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6607275832625421797.post-90301254300999442092010-07-22T15:32:53.211-05:002010-07-22T15:32:53.211-05:00Hang in there. We have all had this type of situation in all of our jobs that we take on through out our lifetime.

I had a teacher once that told me,"You get all your training in doing your, book learning, behind the baton, historical knowledge, teaching methods, student teaching, and then you spend the first three or four years truly learning how to do your job."

He believed I would be a good teacher, apparently he was right. Starting year 32 in September...what a trip it has been.

Strap on your chin strap, buckle up and hang on for the ride...it is going to be fantastic!

Lator Gator!
Your Mom and I believe in you and what you are capable of doing....but then we think we know you pretty well!
DadAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03450198072630448864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6607275832625421797.post-11548500422296038952010-07-20T20:29:48.921-05:002010-07-20T20:29:48.921-05:00I just want to encourage you today -- you are doin...I just want to encourage you today -- you are doing the Lord's work, and it really doesn't matter what the parents think or how they judge you. God will use that trip in wonderful ways in those kids' lives, and hopefully their parents will come to realize what's truly important here.

But I feel ya. I've been there. I'll be there again. I almost quit youth ministry on my second mission trip when all of the kids rebelled and told me they were going to leave for another church -- but I stuck with it and just celebrated my 10th year here at the church.

Your armor's gonna get dinged up, doing this job. It's dirty, it's messy, and it's generally unrecognized, unglorified and long-term. But we know it's worth it in the end.

Hang in there, brother.Justin Olivettihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11290973515840036508noreply@blogger.com
